The new Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Samuel Adeyemi
Ogunjemilusi, has pledged to provide effective security to the people of
the state, before, during and after elections in state.Ogunjemilusi who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen at his office in Lokoja yesterday, stated that police will maintain law and order with zero tolerance for violence in any form.
He explained that as part of measures to provide security, the police Command will continue to collaborate with other security outfits to fight crime.
The Police Boss maintained that police is committed to the rule of law and order. He also promised transparency in police service delivery.
He assured a robust partnership with government at all levels, organisations and public spirited individual for logistic support to boost policing efforts.
The new CP stated he would focus on personnel training and retraining so as to encourage attitudinal change and professional excellence.
He warned political gladiators to play the game by its rules to avoid unnecessary crisis, adding that police command will not hesitate to deal with trouble makers no matter how highly placed in the society.
